June TBR

Hey Guys! I will be doing my ‘June To-Be-Read piles’ today! I finished reading 2 books last month which were King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard and The Crimson Guild by Allan Walsh. I will be linking the book reviews down below:

I am quite disappointed with myself because I read only two books last month. Two. Thus, this month, I will be reading 11 books. Yes, 11 books and I am determined to finish them all!

So, without further ado, let’s get into the To-Be-Read piles!

1. Atlantia by Ally Condie

Synopsis:

Set within a civilization that lives deep beneath the sea, twin sisters, Rio and Bay, are about to make the most important decision of their lives. Will they choose to stay Below, sacrificing their soul but living in happiness, or to go Above, keeping their soul but living in weakness and misery. No one could have predicted their choice.

This book is pretty high up in my June TBR list right now. It sounds super interesting and look at that cover… Isn’t it gorgeous? It definitely is beautiful! Just, two words: Can’t wait!

2. Klubbe the Turkle and the Golden Star Coracle by Phillip Dodd

Synopsis:

3. Zombies VS. Unicorns by Holly Black, Kathleen Duey, Meg Cabot, Garth Nix, Margo Lanagan, Naomi Novik, Diana Peterfreud, Justin Larbalestier, Libba Bray, Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson, Scott Westerfeld, Carrie Ryan & Alaya Dawn Johnson 

Synopsis:

It’s a question as old as time itself: which is better, the zombie or the unicorn? In this anthology, edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier (unicorn and zombie, respectively), strong arguments are made for both sides in the form of short stories. 4. Night film by Marisha Pessel 

Synopsis:

I don’t normally read Mystery, Suspense, or Crime but Night Film’s synopsis intrigued me and therefore, I picked it up. I did hear some great things about this book and now, I really cannot wait to read it!

5. Feed by M.T Anderson

Synopsis:

This book sounds so interesting and scary at the same time. I can’t wait to read this and see how I feel about it!

6. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Synopsis:

7. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

8. Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick

This book is very short and I love Marcus Sedgwick’s writing style! Therefore, I cannot wait to read this book!

9. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Synopsis:

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.

10. Noggin by John Corey Whaley

Synopsis:

Listen — Travis Coates was alive once and then he wasn’t.

Now he’s alive again.

Simple as that.

The in between part is still a little fuzzy, but he can tell you that, at some point or another, his head got chopped off and shoved into a freezer in Denver, Colorado. Five years later, it was reattached to some other guy’s body, and well, here he is. Despite all logic, he’s still 16 and everything and everyone around him has changed. That includes his bedroom, his parents, his best friend, and his girlfriend. Or maybe she’s not his girlfriend anymore? That’s a bit fuzzy too.

Looks like if the new Travis and the old Travis are ever going to find a way to exist together, then there are going to be a few more scars.

Oh well, you only live twice.

11. The Giver by Lois Lowry

Synopsis:
