1. Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2017?

O-One Best book? Excuse me? No, No! Please.. I have quite a few books to show you all. Below will be a list of them!

Before you ask, there are actually a lot more books that I really enjoyed this ‘Mid’ year! But, unfortunately, I can’t think of anymore than I already have. So, here’s the list of books that I enjoyed so far this year! I will link all of the book reviews down below:

2. BEST SEQUEL OF 2017 SO FAR?

King’s Cage is the third book in the ‘Red Queen’ Series which I personally think that it is way better than the previous books- Red Queen and Glass Sword. Dreams of Gods and Monsters is, no doubt, one of my favourite sequel in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. It’s action-packed, full of twist and turns and it was beautifully written! (I highly recommend you to check both of these book series out!)

3. NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET, BUT WANT TO READ?

images (6)

Oh my goodness! I have not picked this book up from the bookstore yet! Why have I not pick this beautiful book up yet? I am looking forward on me, picking this book up from the bookstore and reading it! I bet it’s going to be great because I loved the ‘Daughter of Smoke and Bone’ trilogy and Laini Taylor has a beautiful writing style.. So, Yes! I am looking forward on reading this!

4. MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF THE SECOND HALF OF 2017?

A list of my most anticipated release of the second half of 2017!

1. All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater will be coming out on the 10th of October 2017. To be honest, I have not read any book by Maggie Stiefvater yet, but, this book’s synopsis sounds interesting and look at that beautiful cover, isn’t it gorgeous? Wonder

2. Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo, need I say more? This book is coming out on the 29th of August 2017. I can’t wait to read this book because firstly, my birthday is on the 28th of August. And secondly, I have watched the Wonder Woman film and I absolutely loved it! So, yes.. Can’t wait.

3. WarCross by Marie Lu will be coming out on the 12th of September 2017. I can’t wait to read this book because of the synopsis. It intrigued me!

4. Without Merit by Colleen Hoover. It is coming out on the 3rd of October 2017. I really want to read this book because of this:

“In Colleen Hoover’s gripping novel, reminiscent of the bestselling works of Liane Moriarty and Jojo Moyes, a young woman decides to reveal the dark secrets of her seemingly-happy family before she leaves them behind, but when her escape plan fails, she must deal with the staggering consequences of telling the truth.”

5. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT?

  1. You MUST read “The Lunar Chonicles” asap. They are sending of my favorite books— I have read “Cinder” three times. 😀

I have never seen “Ensnared” before, but the cover and title make me want to read it.

  2. Maggie Steifvater is amazing. If you haven’t read any of her books yet, I’d suggest starting off with The Raven Cycle, as I think the second book (The Dream Thieves) is the best thing she’s ever written. It’s urban fantasy paced like a thriller. The best part, though, is the constantly evolving friendship between the main characters. It all feels so real.

  3. Well, this year I kept piling up the books I would love to read but found little time to do it. Usually when I am on a writing mood, I can’t read much. Also, there are books I enjoy sometimes so much that I keep reading them slowly, in order to delay finishing them. :)))) So I have read with much joy Miyuki Miyabe’s “ICO-Castle in the Mist” and I loved it very much. I have also finished Sayuri Ueda’s ” Cage of Zeus”, the book that made a great impression upon me. This is a book about humanity and gender diversity and I am grateful to the author that wrote it, opening the door into this delicate and intimate part of human life. I am a Haruki Murakami reader and I have a pile of his books waiting for me. As for movies…I haven’t seen anything of great interest lately. Thank you for sharing your list and for the chance offered us to ramble here…:)

      1. If you intend to read also from Haruki Murakami, don’t miss “Kafka on the shore” and the “Wind-Up Bird Chronicle”. The world of Haruki Murakami feels both chillingly real and fantastic. I wish sometimes to live in his books :).

  4. Thanks so much for the shoutout ❤ I loved Heartless, too! Thought it was a fantastic origin story for the Queen of Hearts. Can't wait to see what you think of the Lunar Chronicles now that Meyer is a new favorite of yours. I hope you enjoy Strange the Dreamer, too! I thought it was fantastic and beautifully written. I have yet to read Dreams of Gods and Monsters, but I've been assured it's the best of the trilogy. And I also need to read THUG! I'm really looking forward to all those books you chose, too! They sound amazing, don't they! Great post! 😀

  7. I liked Noggin… I think it was not the best book in the world, but John has a really nice style for his books, and Where Things Come Back is my favorite so far! (He has 3 books haha and I am missing the most recent one!)

I hope you could take a look at the review of those books! Thank you for sharing!
