“My parents must feel the same way,” he caught Chewy’s eyes, moving on, “Having their only child wrapped up in metal just to walk and watching him afraid to take a bath – probably not what they expected to be like either.”- Tim Learn, Chewy Noh and The Fall Of The Mu-Dang

Synopsis:

Chewy Noh has problems. He was born with them. Two weeks after his birth, the family fortune-teller saw bad things in his future…and she was right. The school bully hates him and will stop at nothing to get rid of him. His mother suddenly can’t get out of bed, complaining of horrible headaches. And worst of all, the secret his grandmother is hiding may be at the root of it all. But why should he worry? He’s a superhero with a power no one’s ever seen before!

Writing:

I didn’t like the writing style for this book. The writing style for this book was inarticulate and sometimes, parenthetical. But I really loved the way Tim explained the things in this book.

Pacing:

This book was, surprisingly, fast-paced and if you are stuck in a reading slump, I highly recommend you to read this book!

Characters:

Chewy: I couldn’t connect anything with this character in the book. He’s cranky and at some point of the book, he really annoyed me.

Clint: I loved Clint as a character in this book! His character development went up as I drove deeper into the book, he’s my favourite character in this book!

Kent: The school bully. I hated him at the beginning of the book because he bullied people who are better than him but at the end of the book, I can’t help but feel a little sad for him.

Overall:

I give this book a 54% rating.

This is the end of my spoiler free review! I hope you all enjoyed it and follow me with your email/wordpress account to get notifications when I post a new article! Bye!
