Hey Guys! I am coming to you guys with another review! Dreams Of Gods And Monsters is the third installment in the ‘Daughter Of Smoke And Bone‘ (#3) Trilogy. Here are my reviews for the previous books:
Daughter Of Smoke And Bone & Days Of Blood And Starlight
This is a spoiler free review. So, without further ado, let’s get into the review!
*Note: All thoughts and opinions are on my own.*
“Once upon a time,an angel and a devil pressed their hands to their hearts and started the apocalypse.” – Dreams Of Gods And Monsters, Laini Taylor
Synopsis:
By way of a staggering deception, Karou has taken control of the chimaera rebellion and is intent on steering its course away from dead-end vengeance. The future rests on her, if there can even be a future for the chimaera in war-ravaged Eretz.
Common enemy, common cause.
When Jael’s brutal seraph army trespasses into the human world, the unthinkable becomes essential, and Karou and Akiva must ally their enemy armies against the threat. It is a twisted version of their long-ago dream, and they begin to hope that it might forge a way forward for their people.
And, perhaps, for themselves. Toward a new way of living, and maybe even love.
Writing:
As usual, Laini’s has such a beautiful yet mysterious writing style. Her writing style’s so crisp and poetic. There were some points that we really needed explanation on, but when you get deeper into the story, you will get all the answers that you have in your brain.
Characters:
Our Karou and Akiva went through the biggest character developments ever! Their plan was ‘WOOO-HMM-HOOO‘. It was great! I love them so much!
Liraz and Ziri: They are as awesome as ever! *Ship!*
Zuzana and Mik: Professional legends (Stormhunters)! Just, “Woo-Hoo!”
Eliza: She’s a new character in this book and OMG! She’s awesome! She had such an amazing personality and a dark past.. But still, She’s awesome!
Rating:
Overall, I give this book a 100% rating. I highly recommend you to read this trilogy! Such a beautiful trilogy and a beautiful writing.
Pretty Quotes:
“We haven’t been introduced. Not really.” – Dreams Of Gods And Monsters, Laini Taylor
This sentence in the book made me laugh out loud. It’s so funny.
“Be a Samurai. Because you just never know what’s behind the freaking sky.” – Dreams Of Gods And Monsters, Laini Taylor
Oh. Yes. This sentence in the book as well.
This is the end of my spoiler free review! I hope you guys enjoyed it and follow me with your email/wordpress account to get notifications when I post a new article! Bye!
This sounds good. I’m always looking for new fantasy series. 🙂

I absolutely love this trilogy! I literally could not put Dreams of Gods and Monsters down until I got to the end; it was so stressful! xD
I did feel like the writing tone/style slipped a bit in the two last books, though. Taylor’s language was much more poetic in Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and then (perhaps because she was hurrying to get the other two published) those moments of gorgeous words became rarer in the other two.
